The Great Escape of Charlie:
In a snugly little house on the outskirts of town, lived an adventurously curious hamster. His name was Charlie. Charlie’s glossy fur was just the color of chestnuts. And he had bright shiny beady eyes full of roguishness. Charlie was living happily in his cozy cage, unaware that a thrilling exploration awaited him.
Charlie lived in a snug cage in the corner of the living room. There were toys, tunnels and an abundant supply of chow in his cage. His owners, the Johnson family, loved and took care of Charlie well. But every so often he began to feel a bit restless.
Though not until several months later did Charlie stumble across a peculiar development as he rummaged through the cage all chaotic one day. There was this small gap between bars near to floor-level this piqued Charlie’s curiosity. Charlie squeezed through the gap and stood gazing upon outside of the house – free to wander as he pleased.
At first, this was a bittersweet joy for Charlie. He scampered about the rooms, darting under furniture and snooping in each corner. However, over time Charlie begun to understand that the world on the outside of his cage was a great deal larger and more fearful than he thought it may be.
THRILLING EXPLORATION Begins:
Charlie was alone in the house along with darkness. His cage was safe, and his sweet scent alone could keep him there for days feeling better every time he cried. He wanted to come back so badly but had no idea how that can happen.
Charlie, intent on getting back to the house as quickly as possible began his approach inside around the thin walls of corridors. During this journey, he ran into numerous obstacles: a teetering stack of books, some treacherous stairs and even an ornery cat named Whiskers.
Charlie, however, isn’t one to be deterred that easily. He continued forward with courage and resolve, steadfast in his desire to return home safely to the comfort of his cage among loved ones. But he was only just setting off on his exciting journey.
One obstacle after another, Charlie fought through the maze that would lead him back to his cage. The house felt never ending and like every corner revealed a new trial, or danger.
THRILLING EXPLORATION Becomes Perilous:
Charlie came up on Whiskers, the family cat with a hungry look in his glowing eyes. With the predator Whiskers lunging at him, his heart raced with fear. But he dodged into darkness and sprinted in another direction before ultimately managing to get ahead of this unfriendly cat.
But Charlie was not deterred. Chasing his courage onward, he ran down the shadowed avenues of the most mysterious regions in which our world had to offer. He wriggled through narrow crevices, clambered over whatever stood in his way and met the challenging future as though born to it.
The farther he got into the house, Charlie found more and wonders as well. He found all hidden niches and corners to the brim of neglected treasures, from shining coins until colorful buttons. He examined the bizarre tools and instruments he stumbled upon, all of them mysteries to be unraveled.
Yet, amidst the enthusiasm of his discovery, Charlie had never given up on what he was really trying to do. Make it back home with hopes that all would be there waiting for him in its cage. The further he walked, the more convinced he was to find them again.
Charlie’s Homecoming:
Hours passed before Charlie finally caught wind of a familiar smell of his cage. Heart exploding with euphoria, he ran down the scent trail just below him as his whiskers flitted about.
Finally, he found – there in the corner of his room —his cage, where it had always been from which he never returned. Charlie scuttled inside with a victorious squeak. Instantly at ease as he cozied in the safety of his four walls.
However, Charlie knew that his journey was not over. At every step of the way he had walked boldly and resolutely were dangerous. Curled up in his warm haven, all the sights and sounds of home around him, Charlie was certain that whatever excitement awaited was one he had been preparing for.
Charlie luxuriated as he allowed himself to settle back into the cage. In the course of his brave voyage, he had encountered too many perils to count—yet here was safe harbor: a world as welcoming and familiar as his cage a haven washed with family of love.
Lesson From The THRILLING EXPLORATION:
The Johnson family erupted in joy when they saw Charlie come home. And gave him plenty of hugs and kisses and a few treats as well. His friends were impressed with how brave and strong he must have been to take this incredible risk. And that besides away for so long they just felt appreciation because finally there was a miracle!
In return, he was grateful to be home. Charlie, he had some fun and exciting thrills, scouring the long corridors running circles throughout their kitchen while his brother played Ghost Rider to catch him if he ever gained control of said fury again; but in no way was he willing to spend more time in a warm-fuzzy cage with all those unbelievable kids running around being suicidal wild monsters.
Over the next couple of days, he would catch himself remembering the satisfaction and longing for his adventure. He conquered his fears, he defeated one obstacle after another and showed himself as well a family that no matter how small you are; you can be brave.
But beyond anything else, Charlie had realized that the home was a feeling not just in one place – it is made of people who love you unconditionally. And when he resumed his normal schedule with the Johnsons, we know that this tiny kitty overlord was exactly where he needed to be – a cozy nest of blankets and giggles and familiar voices.
