Hey there, welcome to the story of redemption about Jason and Buddy. In a disorderly living room, there lived a man named Jason. He seemed sad and tired just, all over the place with empty bottles, drugs paraphernalia etc. and Buddy the scruffy little dog. Jason’s worried eyes met Buddy.
Jason kept reaching for one more bottle when Buddy would bark and turn him away. Jason got frustrated, told Buddy to buzz off. But Buddy didn’t stop. He kept growling and administering curses, waiting for Jason to change.
Over time, Jason steadily neglected Buddy and didn’t give him the care is needed. Buddy experienced hunger and lack of safety, both environmental or nurturing. But eventually, Jason made the heart-wrenching choice to take Buddy out behind a house and leave him on his own to face life as a stray dog after realizing he was not ready for or prepared enough to be someone who could properly care of another living creature.
Jason started to cry that night — he remained in tears for the entire week as Buddy was all what Jason could think about. His every day was a struggle to be different than he was, to want something other than what drinking, and drugs offered him as salvation or sign of life.
The Story of Redemption:
Jason had been up walking and he saw a paper on the fridge one day. What they talked about is the animal shelter that were finding homes for them and people who cared for these animals. And among the animals Jason saw Buddy.
Something in Jason broke. So he went to the shelter. That is when he saw Buddy and knew that this dog was coming home with him.
But with the days, Jason’s living room was changing. The bottles disappeared and the room became cleaner. Buddy was ever present, so Jason would never be alone and always had a tad bit of comfort.
Jason even pulled out his guitar with Buddy sitting next to him. He used to take Buddy with him when he went to the park where Jason played his music for folks. Everyone loved his music and Jason was back to being happy.
The Happy Ending:
One day, Jason recorded his music in a big studio. Buddy was there too, sitting next to him. Jason caught the ear of a music producer who was pretty high up in terms of creating an opportunity for him.
Then, Jason was up on a stage, strumming his guitar to an enormous room. Buddy sat on the side watching with pride Jason brought happiness to a lot of people through his music, and Buddy was always so supportive.
Jason wound up sitting in his spotless front room with Buddy close by. Turning to Buddy, He said ‘Thank you Buddy. You saved me.” Love and friendship are superior; making their bond even greater.
So for those darkest of times, the lessons that hold closer to Jason and Buddy proved some friends still bring hope and joy.
